Game Progress, Classic Update, Multiplayer, and more
We recently hit a 100 followers over at the GameJolt page, so I decided to release this devlog!
Without further ado, let’s get into the news..
Major Update “Demo”
First of all, April Fools! If you haven’t played the “demo” yet, just know that it’s a simple eagle-eye shooter I made in just under a day! I had some people test it out and they actually enjoyed much more than I was expecting!
Obviously this couldn’t be the only thing I would give to you guys, so once you actually beat the game you get a small little teaser about the previously announced pre-finale!
However, speaking of that…
Pre-Finale Rework
You might be asking on what I mean by “rework”, well the pre-finale was actually mostly finished a big ago.
However after testing its max mode.. I noticed on how painfully boring and repetitive the mechanics were. I can go on and on on how I disliked its current state, but this post would be WAY too long. It’ll be playable as a bonus feature but I genuinely wouldn’t recommend it if you don’t wanna go through a snooze-fest.
Here’s a screenshot of what it looked like, alongside featuring the one and only base mechanic used:
However, after having difficulties trying to come up with new mechanics.. one night I locked in and come up with a whole new concept I could do and I’m actually pretty happy with how its turned out so far!
Here’s a little sneak-peek:
I can re-assure all of you that this is gonna be REALLY good, TRUST! (peggy reffy rence)
Other than that, you might be wondering.. what else have I done for this game so far?
Office Segment Progress?
Most of the time going towards the office is mostly making some tweaks and working on some phone calls, in fact one of them is already finished and I have just 3 more to go! (Yes, there are only 4 phone calls.)
It’s very, VERY close to being finished! But sometimes I genuinely can’t bother to edit the phone calls lmao, hence why I’ve mostly just been focusing on the pre-finale.
I don’t have much to say about it right now, so here are some screenshots showcasing new stuff!
Regarding Weezer Classic
Last month I told you guys that I’d be releasing something if I reached 100 followers on the GameJolt page before the game’s annual anniversary, which before I say anything.. happy birthday to this game!
But also, unfortunately we didn’t reach the goal in time and only reached it about a few weeks after. Which means I won’t be releasing the thing I had planned for this, however I’m not gonna leave you guys with nothing..
I constructed an update to the original game! Including new things such as improved gameplay, a different ending and AN ACTUAL CUSTOM NIGHT!
As soon as this post will be up, it’ll be up and ready to the game page for you to play!
Multiplayer
And the best for last.. I made a post saying if I reached 100 followers on the GameJolt game page I would add official multiplayer to the game.
At the time, I was learning the Clickteam Lacewing extension with @BubyGamer11, which is an extension that lets you import multiplayer into your games. As hard as it was to learn (cause I was being DUMB), it was actually quite easy once I got used to it.
Since the GameJolt game page got to a 100 followers thanks to GGX, multiplayer WILL be added to the game. It’ll either be in the game at release, or released as a separate update later onto the game’s release.
Anyway, that’s all I had to say for this post. It’s currently nearly 8 in the morning and I still haven’t slept (insomnia is a bitch) I really hope you guys liked what I showed today, happy anniversary to FAAW and THANKS FOR 100 FOLLOWERS! Love you guys!
